We are proud a Google Qualified Developer for Google Maps API and KML. We work very closely with Google on our core EarthNC for Boaters offering and provide direct Google Earth consulting and development support to our partners and clients. Google Qualified Developer certification recognizes EarthNC’s long term commitment to innovative mapping applications and satisfied clients.
Mosaic Technologies Group is a leading provider of technology consulting and development services to government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. Innovation Landscape has worked with Mosaic on several projects centering on interactive tactical Google Earth applications for both agencies.
Postgis has a built-in command line ‘loader’ for shapefile import and a built-in ’simplify’ function for geometries with an adjustable parameter for the degree of smoothing. Postgis has become an important scaling tool for projects involving hundreds of thousands of geometries.
Among OSGeo’s several key features, two in particular: the ability to source data from a postgis query and output the result directly to KML using KML’s extended data schema to preserve attribute information make it a critical technology for our projects.
